not my reading of it. the author's own, written as a labelled block at the
head of a post, 26 times over fifteen months.
Most sites do not say what they are for. This one does, in a field called
intentions, placed above the writing the way a content warning is placed above
a difficult thing — as something the reader is owed before they begin.
14 of the 26 ask to be
seen, witnessed, held or understood. The commonest word across all of them is
seen. That is what this site is for, counted rather than guessed.

allow myself to be witnessed

it is very difficult to explain over / over / over
All of this is one file. Save it — right-click every post and
choose save — and it is on your machine. Put it on a stick. Send it to yourself. Open
it with the wifi off and it is entirely itself. Copy it and there are two.
A hosted account can be deleted. By a platform, by a policy, by a company folding,
by a forgotten password. A file that has been copied cannot. That is the whole of what
sovereign means here, and it is the only reason any of this was built as one file
rather than a website.
